The successful candidate must have min Grade 12 with 5-10 years’ experience and knowledge of the Transport industry and a very good knowledge of SA roads and highways. A relevant tertiary qualification in the logistic field will be an added advantage. Good, interpersonal, leadership, motivation planning, and communicating (verbal & written) skills as well as bilingualism will be essential.
Key Accountabilities :
Maximum utilization of vehicles routes, Client service and driver/truck efficiency by reducing off routes and unnecessary kilometres.
Responsible for managing and ensuring all assets are utilized in such a manner to ensure that the budget objectives are met and the service requirements of our customers are met through daily reports, weekly reports and meetings as well as monthly overview reports of your division's efficiencies to Operations.
Overseeing/implementing Procedures and Policies to ensure all off routes are managed, reduced and monitored
Identifying route Risks and implementing corrective actions
Create, implement and monitor correct route manual
Proactively engage with Operations
